Thanksgiving is a harvest festival to thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in United States and Canada. This holiday is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in US and on the second Monday in October.
This holiday is celebrated afther the winter to give thanks to God for a good harvest. At first this holiday wans't celebrated in all United States but in 1863 the President Abreham Lincoln turned the fourth Thursday of November the national day of Thanksgiving.
The day is used to stay with the family to have dinners and it's a day to work in the church, there are the parades in the street and some games os American Football, the food that is the symbol of this day is the turkey bacause of this the Thanksgiving Day is know as turkey
